Established in 1989, Equitable provides management and leasing services for commercial properties primarily located in the Metropolitan Atlanta market place. Due to our local concentration, we have the ability to operate properties at pricing well below our competition. We currently manage and lease a portfolio of office buildings and shopping centers in excess of 2,000,000 square feet.
The core of property management is to maximize the return to our clients through rent collections and minimizing operating costs. Since we operate primarily in the Atlanta market place, we are able to operate our properties below the cost of other firms due to the preferential pricing we receive from our contractors and vendors. In addition, our local presence allows us to have a focused effort for rent collections along with extensive knowledge of the court process in the event a legal proceeding is required.
Our firm takes a multi-step approach to handling its relationships with our tenants. This process ensures that the tenant's needs are being handled in an efficient manner from the initial call through the maintenance process. Our staff is trained in customer service and strives to provide a professional service by constant contact with our vendors along with updating our tenants through any maintenance process.
We take an entrepreneurial approach and treat each asset as if it were owned under our umbrella. All maintenance and other services are billed at cost with no mark up to our clients. In addition, each asset receives the benefit of reduced operating costs through the bulk pricing we receive from our vendors and contractors.
Our firm has concentrated its efforts in managing assets in the Metropolitan Statistical Area composed of 28 counties. Due to this concentration we have superior market knowledge and a greater ability to produce in Atlanta's competitive market place.
